Lakeside Looms
Suzanne Rothstein
My introduction to and love of weaving began 35 years ago on a 4-harness table loom and continues to this day as I take workshops and participate in various craft fairs and shows including the Annual WGB Sale, Wellesley Holiday Sale, Coolidge Corner Art Festival and became a Juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen (2021). My studio overlooks a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains, so there is no shortage of inspiration as I watch the sunsets over the lake and marvel at the fall foliage. Hand-painting my warps became a way for me to create one of a kind projects that reflect these inspirations. My projects and commissions have included: scarves, ponchos, shawls, baby blankets, throws, table runners, dishtowels, Tallism (prayer shawls).
